On a crowded ballot carrying 7 names, Tom Graves ended up the clear favorite last night with 49.5% of votes. Voting data shows clear momentum for Tom, he carried 13 of 15 counties and received twice as many votes as he did to win the special election on June 8th.
Despite a more than 12,000 vote margin between Tom and the second place challenger he was a mere 422 votes short of the total needed to avoid a runoff. Georgia voters will have one more chance to support him before the November general when they vote (for the 4th time in 91 days!) on August 10th.
We continue to be energized by the results from Georgia and look forward to keeping Tom on our side in the next Congress!
