Harold Johnson, our endorsed candidate in the North Carolina 8th district primary, won his runoff election last night to take the Republican nomination. After coming in behind businessman Tim D'Annunzio in the primary election, Harold Johnson won 61 percent of yesterday's vote to D'Annunzio's 39.

He will face Democratic incumbent Larry Kissell and libertarian candidate Thomas Hill in November.
